SLITTING

Our flagship Grand Rapids operation features a 74" Herr-Voss Strand Extensioner®, which produces the highest quality slit coil product available. This process will slit, provide shape correction, equalize stresses, maintain critical material surface quality, and reduce burr, in one safe and highly productive operation. Utilizing special rubberized rolls, the Strand Extensioner specializes in processing automotive-grade exposed requirements, pre-painted, and surface-critical material. The unique leveling process allows the Strand Extensioner to excel in running flatness critical applications as well.

Our Detroit facility features two state of the art 72" Braner-Loopco Turret Head slitting lines (new in 2010), complete with computer-controlled Shape-Correction Cluster Levelers. These twin, high-performance slitters are rugged enough to handle heavy gauge requirements, while at the same time being suitably agile to hold extremely tight slit tolerances. All three slitting lines utilize Gamma Ray gauge-monitoring, specialized lighting, and inline cameras to further aid the accuracy of the inspection process.

 

Multi-Blanking

We recently broke ground on the construction of a new production bay for a Red Bud Multi-Blanking Line with Stretcher Leveler. This line includes a number of unique features and capabilities that makes it arguably the most capable Multi-Blanking Line of this capacity in the United States. Learn More
